Front Rear
Definition: A hunting blind is a cover device for hunters, designed to help prevent detection - Wikipedia.
Before you start
1. Prepare your home blind and later assemble at the hunting site. Re-assembly should require only a cordless drill, a hammer and galvanized screws.
2. Use pressure treated wood if possible (The longer).
* Note I have not identified width or length dimension (height only) as you can be any size, depending on the hunt.
Build it (Pictures are not to scale)
1. Build a basic sub-floor with 2x6s. Remember the space of the beams 16 inches on center.
2. Now screw (galvanized screws) a 5/8-inch plywood on top of the sub-floor, this is now the floor of the blind. You must pre-cut holes in the 4x4 every corner of the plywood to the 4x4 posts that will be installed, See below to catch.
3. Install the 4x4 post. The two front posts should be around 48inches in length, while the two in the back should be 53 "(this is your 8 '4 x4 will use the front of your mail and 10 '4x4 for the back and watch almost 6 "will be eaten by the thickness of the floor). Cut back the posts (at the top end) with 25 degrees backwards to determine the angle for the sloping roof.
4. Start now to determine the structure of the blind with 2x4s. Start by placing a 2x4 of the top of the front post (What is 42 "high) on the left-behind item, ensure the outer edge of the 2x4 is even with the outside of the 4x4 and continue around the blind ensure each is 2x4 level. Leave one side open as we need to place a door or after the next step.
Now place 2 - 2x4s (The 2 front roof supports) on the left and right between the front and 4x4 back on the inside of the 2x4 framing. Pre-cut the tops to a 25degree angle same as the rear. Joint roof supports both front with a 2x4 over the top. Set 2 for roof supports back and forth until the edges line up with the 4x4 back.
Now on the left side opening to install a 2x4 between the front roof support and the rear 4x4.
5. Now were ready for the plywood covering the front and sides with plywood. For the purposes of plywood all the way back to the top of the 4x4. Last but not least apply plywood to the roof.
6. Paint the blind with dark flat paint (Olive Drab, Brown, etc.) correspond to the environment.
7. Deck off with camouflage nets leaving an opening to shoot through.
