Jig Lure
Often a bass will not strike a quick plug pulled by its nose will strike lures jigged vertically. Jig Heads Jigging and other lures such as spoons, tail pins, and vibrating blades will fish plugs ignore. This applies especially in deeper water.
Lead-head jigs, many different attractors to help entice fish. These include rubber or plastic skirts, feathers, hair, or rubber worms or larvae. Another effective lure is the use of live bait on these lures. A popular Attractor used by many bass fishermen pork is a jig-and-pig or jig-and-eel. Many have weed guards jig-head made of nylon brushes. Jigs are vertical fishing, soil returned or retrieved in a slow, steady motion.
Jigging spoons are made of metal. Some of these spoons have an unpainted, hammered finish. Other spoons come in a variety of colors and finishes. When bass are holding tightly along cliff walls or wood, these lures are good choices. It is not uncommon to use Jigging spoons in the 50 meter deep water.
Tail Pins, as the name suggests, have a spinner on the tail of a heavy lead body. While vertical jigging lures is usually how they are used, a steady retrieve or bottom bounce may prove to be very effective.
Vibrating blades are made of thin metal. The fishing line is tied to a snap and then a hole in the back of the lure. Some vibrating blades have more than one hole in them to help change the action of the lure when fished. The magazine is quickly retrieved or vertically jigged to imitate a swimming baitfish. Some fishermen even troll with vibrating blades, because that mimics the action of a crankbait.
When using jigging lures, can be difficult to detect a strike. This is because usually when the bass lure sinking strike. Keeping a tight line will help to detect the light tap of the fish. If the strike is felt quickly in the hook.
